Thomas Chen is thrilled to be a part of this team of AACF campus ministers, whom he has always looked up to since his college years. Thomas was a part of AACF at UCLA from 1995-1999, where he had the privilege of being in Body Life, starting the Salt ‘N Light (SNL) drama ministry, and serving on Core. Leading in AACF helped equip him for a life of ministry beyond college. After graduating and getting his M.Div. from Talbot School of Theology, Thomas moved back home to the Bay Area and served as a pastor to youth from 2002-2009 and then at a church plant from 2009-2018. He and his wife Esther have two outgoing children – Corey and Corinne. In 2018, God guided his family to move in faith to Seattle. Through God’s amazing providence, Thomas now gets to serve in this life-giving ministry of empowering college students at the UW AACF. Thomas enjoys watching movies, eating, drinking DIY boba, emceeing, hosting, quizmastering bar trivia nights as a side gig, and engaging the world with Christ’s love. Thomas is loving campus ministry and still can’t believe how God has guided him back to AACF.
