2025 Summer Missions - Japan
Caleb Yang

Last summer, I had the opportunity to join the JEMS team on their annual mission trip to Toyohashi, Japan. During that time, I saw firsthand the incredible work that God is doing around the world. Despite the small Christian population in Japan, He is proving that the harvest truly is plentiful (Luke 10:2). The small, yet mighty Holiness Church in Toyohashi is a shining light to the world, especially with the faithful leadership of the pastorship.
I believe God is calling me back to Toyohashi this summer, as His work is far from finished. Last year, I saw Him utilize the testimonies, encouragements, worship songs, and manual labor of the JEMS team, and it would be my great joy to serve in these capacities once again. With the increasingly high rates of depression across Japan, it’s clear that its people desperately need the peace and fulfillment that the Good News of Jesus Christ brings. There is so much beauty that comes from Japan, whether it be from its food, art, or rich history — and I dream of how vibrant of a place it would be when truly touched by the author of beauty Himself, our Lord Jesus Christ.
