Welcome to AACF USC!

Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) is the campus ministry of the Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society (JEMS) that reaches onto college campuses with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to make disciples by educating and equipping students in Biblical foundations, Christian disciplines, and the development of spiritual gifts preparing them for witness and service on the campus, in the local church, in the marketplace, and in world missions.

Although the history of AACF at USC spans decades, our current incarnation began in 2016 with two staffers and a single student. Thanks to the faithfulness of Christ and the faith of students willing to take risks of faith to serve and reach their campus, we've grown into a spiritual community where students can be empowered to serve, stretch the bounds of their faith, discover lifelong friendships, and be connected to the local church. Although we have a team of four staffers/volunteer resources, our ministry is led, organized, and run by students—a rarity in a world that does not often empower young Asian American Christians.

Our group meets together for large group on Thursday nights at 7 PM in the University Religious Center (URC), a dedicated time for us to worship, pray, and learn about Scripture via Bible study or messages. We also have small groups and accountability partners that meet throughout the week, which students can sign up for according to their availability. On the first Monday of the month, we hold Monthly Evening Prayer (MEP), where we intercede for our campus and one another. Throughout the year, our inreach and outreach teams also hold events, workshops, and service/evangelism opportunities meant to encourage our members and equip them to reach our campus.

We are fortunate that USC is very supportive of religious organizations on campus, and as a student organization we benefit by receiving funding from them. However, there are always additional costs that we incur throughout the course of the year—cost of retreats, speaker fees, facility reservations, and event material. We would greatly appreciate not only your support in prayer, but also your financial partnership in our mission!
