Anders Jew
Anders Jew

My name is Anders Jew, and I'm currently finishing up my first year in mechanical engineering at UCR. God's providence and provision has been very present in my life, and through several series of events I've eventually been led to where I am now. Originally I never had any plans of any missions work, or even outreach in general, but after having to take a Japanese language class in highschool since Chinese wasn't available, those 4 years, as well as other events God carefully worked into my life, built up my desire to reach out to the Japanese in any way I could. My parents were missionaries before they got married, one in Japan and the other in China, so they were in agreeance with this desire I had and took me to meet some of their missionary friends already in the country, which combined with a previous homestay trip through my school, further opened my eyes to the desperate need of the gospel that is needed. Currently now in the states, God has faithfully and powerfully been working in my life (not to say He hasn't been) ever since I started college and joined the Asian American Christian Fellowship. And so, I'm really excited that God has finally answered my prayers in offering an opportunity to serve overseas and I look forward to the ways God will use me to be a light to the world and how He will build me up in the struggles that are guaranteed to come (besides the heat).
